Everyone is talking about the new guidelines for weddings (make sure you follow The UKAWP & UK wedding blog Love My Dress for regular, no nonsense updates!)

There is still a long road ahead, but at Planned for Perfection, we look for a positive in everything, so at least we can say that the journey back to weddings and events has finally begun!

For those couples overwhelmed by the information given by the government  or are looking for some wedding planning guidance, in a nutshell, from 4th July 2020:

  • Wedding ceremonies (religious or civil) will be allowed to take place with up to a maximum of 30 people, including the couple, on site suppliers & guests.

  • Large wedding receptions & parties are still unable to take place - the guidelines stipulate just 6 people outdoors, 2 households or support bubbles.

  • No food or drink can be consumed as part of the celebrations

  • No singing or loud music allowed

  • Everyone attending the wedding ceremony should keep a social distance of at least 1 metre, use hand sanitiser regularly⁣ & preferably wear a mask.

Needless to say, this certainly isn’t the news a lot of 2020 couples wanted to hear, so if you need assistance in postponing your wedding or if you would like to plan a smaller, more intimate wedding, incorporating the new guidelines, we are here to help.
