Winter Wedding in Warwickshire

What better way to celebrate the festive season than with the picture perfect winter wedding of professional golfer Andy Sullivan and his beautiful wife Florence. The couple married on a cold December day in Warwickshire last year at their local church, followed by a reception at Cider Mill Barns, not far from Stratford-upon-Avon, a medieval market town in England, most famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

The bride chose a stunning Suzanne Neville couture gown from Ivory Tower Bridal Couture bridal boutique . Flo teamed the Picasso bodice with pretty lace sleeves and a full silk organza skirt with a Catherdral length veil, embroided with an A on the train, in memory of her late brother. The Bridesmaids also wore Suzanne Neville, a deep red Geddes dresses with long sleeves and a lace back, which was perfect for a winter wedding.

Miss Red Rouge from the team at Gemma Sutton looked after all of the girls hair and make up on the wedding morning, whilst the boys relaxed in the local pub before the ceremony, all dressed in suits from Hackett London

Following the church ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception at Cidermill Barns, with entertainment from Gloucestershire Magician, Richard Parsons and Lucy, Live Event Artist who painted some beautiful artwork for the couple as a keepsake of the day, including a wonderful family portatrait with Flo’s late brother, who was in everyones thoughts on the day.

Paula Rooney floral designer teamed gorgeous winter white florals with the palest blush roses and rich greeney, then dotted the tables with candles that came alive as darkness descended in the late afternoon. We ordered personalised Christmas baubles from Scribble and Sparkle and placed them on each individual table settings, which were not only perfect place names for a festive wedding, but it meant that each of the guests were able to take them home with them to hang on their Christmas tree as a special memento of the couples beautiful wedding day. Silver Savannah ‘snowflake’ charger plates were teamed with silver rimmed Cara glassware from Whitehouse event crockery and pretty bud vases, twinkling candles & gorgeous foliage table runners made for the prettiest of table scapes. Individual menus were placed on each setting from The Foil Invite Company, who designed all of the wedding stationery for the day.

Cheltenham based wedding cake designer Vanilla Pod Bakery designed the perfect Winter wedding cake, with a nod to the Christmas season - a four tier design decorated  with whole pears, orange slices, peeled satsumas, cinnamon sticks, sugar frosted cranberries, fur cones, blackberries, white mistletoe, berries dipped in silver leaf, rosemary and physalis . The impressive cake sat on a bed of fresh greenery, fruit, cinnamon sticks & flowers and dusted in icing sugar (snow!) and placed on top of a barrel

The couple asked for no wedding gifts, instead requesting donations to the knife crime charity - The Ben Kinsella Trust who the couple support in memory of Flo's beloved brother Gus, who was remembered in some very emotional speeches by Flo's daughter, who was the couples flower girl and Master of Ceremonies too.

Flo opted for two designer wedding dresses and changed into a Sassi Holford evening dress once the evening party commenced. UK musician James Gillespie one of the brides favourite singers and a friend of the couples sang their first dance ( and he treated guests to an impromtu set later in the evening) before Matt Maurice Event DJ ensured that the dance floor was filled, with surpise performances from one of his saxophonists.
