AN EVENING OF FESTIVE FUN AT BLENHEIM PALACE
Christmas has come early for us again this year when we were invited to an evening at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and what a magical start to the 2023 festive season it was!
Celebrating Christmas at Blenheim Palace with a Sleeping Beauty theme was absolutely enchanting the grandeur of the palace adorned with holiday decorations inspired by the iconic fairy tale, bringing a magical touch to the festive season.
We love Blenheim Palace (it was where Mr P4P proposed a long time ago!) and we have planned some beautiful weddings there, so it was a real treat to return as a guest.
THE ILLUMINATED GARDEN TRAIL AT BLENHEIM PALACe
Our evening began with the illuminated trail in the grounds of the palace. We wandered through the gardens, which were filled with over a million lights, we walked through sparkling tunnels and heart-shaped arches, admired the lakeside reflections, watched the flickering flames in the fire garden, marveled at the impressive laser show and were even lucky enough to spot Father Christmas whilst walking under the stars with warming hot chocolate!
THE PALACE OF SLEEPING BEAUTY
The palace's magnificent rooms and grounds transformed into an immersive fairytale. We were transported into an enchanting magical world of Sleeping Beauty and walked through the different chapters in each palace room.
BLENHEIM PALACE CHRISTMAS MARKETS
The Christmas markets are set up in the Great Court with the iconic palace as its backdrop. The wooden chalet stalls are filled with a fabulous selection of artisanal crafts and seasonal treats,. The combination of the historic setting and the festive market atmosphere created a truly special festive evening. There were also an array of street vendors serving delicious food and no trip to Christmas at Blenheim is complete without a warning hot chocolate as we meandered around the stalls and gardens.
CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA AT BLENHEIM PALACE
The Orangery at Blenheim Palace serves delicious Sleeping Beauty themed Afternoon Tea thoughout the festive season, though do please note that you are required to have a valid Christmas at Blenheim Palace ticket to book this indulgent treat.
