We first met Livy, David and Livy’s parents at The Lanesborough Hotel in London, to discuss their plans and ideas for their luxury wedding in the Cotswolds.

Our couple had fallen in love The Manor House, Castle Combe and chose to hire the five star country house hotel exclusively for their Summer wedding weekend. We are honoured to be the hotels recommended wedding planner and love working with the team there (special mention to fabulous Gemma!)

We worked closely with the family to plan their Cotswold wedding and, as the number of wedding guests dictated that we needed to hire a marquee for the wedding, we booked Abbas Marquees, the recommended marquee providers at the manor, who built the most wonderful structure for the wedding celebrations.

Wedding Weekend

The weekend started with a Caribbean welcome party, a nod to Liv and David’s Caribbean heritage. The Mighty Jama entertained guests and traditional Caribbean food was served, it was the perfect start to the weekend!

Wedding Attire

The following day, make up artist Louise Andre from Bobbi Brown and hair dresser Emily Hart from top London hairdressing salon Errol Douglas in Belgravia, spent the morning with Livy and her bridesmaids before the bride stepped into her bespoke Suzanne Neville wedding gown & the bridesmaids into their Motee Maids dresses. The bridesmaids then left in the hotels golf buggy for the short drive to the church whilst the Bride and her father chose Edward, a traditional wedding car from Satin & Lace weddings

The groom managed to sneak in a quick round of golf with his groomsmen in the morning, before dressing in his Gieves And Hawkes suit, with the ushers in suits from The Wedding Gallery in London.

Church Wedding

Liv and David wanted a traditional church wedding and hired harpist Claire Jones, who played at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011, to play whilst Liv walked down the aisle with her father. During the service, friends from the Brides local gospel choir in London, accompanied the church choir to sing the most beautiful hymns.

Confetti Aisle

Following the service, guests lined up either side of the lane to make the longest confetti aisle that we have ever seen, before heading back to the Manor House for champagne, canapés and fabulous magic by Gloucestershire Magician.

Wedding Day Styling

The colour palette for the wedding was an elegant mix of white, green and gold - Talented florist Jill Jeffries created most beautiful wedding flowers for the bridal party, pretty arrangements were dotted throughout the manor and the most breathtaking floral chandelier hung to compliment gorgeous table centrepieces in the marquee. Gold & white chairs from Designer Chair Covers to go looked stunning in the star lit marquee with additional gold charger plates, cutlery, crockery, glassware from Prestige Hire, white and gold stationery from E.I.Y. Marquee Wedding

Guests were guided into the marquee by a walk way of balloons from Tidy parties and were welcomed by the UK’s leading global showband The Function Band and once everyone was in the marquee, the party really began! Not only did the band singing sets between courses, following the wedding breakfast they ensured that the dance floor was full all evening! There was a surprise guest appearance from the brides talented cousin Shakka, a fun EcoStarDust glitter bar and a Vodka Luge from ice creation.

The following day the couple enjoyed a farewell brunch with all of their guests, before heading to the one of our favourite places in the world and a favourite honeymoon destination, The Maldives.
